Spicy vegetable rice was demonstrated by Mrs Mohsin and thoroughly enjoyed by some of the staff!
Our guests from Askrigg had a quick, if slightly chaotic, biscuit baking session in our cafe. They took back two boxes of butterscotch cookies they had made.
Hope you enjoyed them Askrigg!
Visitors to ACE enjoyed sharing Bombay potatoes, chapati and raita, beautifully cooked and demonstrated by Mrs Rehal, in our second ‘pass it on’ cookery session!
Can’t wait for next week!
Come and join us!
Today was our first ‘pass it on’ cookery session. We made Yorkshire puddings with onion gravy and enjoyed them with some of the staff. It would be lovely to see more people signing up to either share or learn a new recipe or cooking skill!
Our 2nd ‘pay as you feel’ cafe was to raise money for Children in Need. We served pasta and mini pizzas, to a diverse and hungry clientele, followed by Sham’s Tiger cake and biscuits. It was a little chaotic but thanks go to everyone who stepped in to help out!
We raised £41.95 for Children in Need!!!
Reception used our cafe to cook their Pudsey biscuits to be sold in aid of Children in Need.
Were you lucky enough to buy one?
Carefully weigh out your ingredients.
Cream your mixture.
Divide your dough equally.
Ask 2MS about halves and quarters and why it is important to make the biscuits equal in size!
